The problem

Who is doing MEP? Let me check.

The lineup lives in someone's head, a spreadsheet from last month, and a thread nobody can find. Then a consultant asks who the civil engineer is and three people answer differently.

Groundbreak gives the project one board: a row per discipline, a status worked out from what has actually happened, and the assigned firms read straight from the assignments themselves. There is nothing to keep in sync, because nothing is copied.

What it does

The lineup, and how it got that way.

Three things a list of firm names cannot do.

A row per discipline, and who is behind itAssigned firms are read live from the project’s own assignments, so the board cannot go stale against itself — and a discipline can carry more than one firm when the work genuinely splits.

The verification badge follows the firm out of the directory and onto the project — it is the same derived status, not a copy.

    Per project

The generic "Engineering" tag a firm may carry is not a slot of its own — a firm holding it can be assigned to any of the four specific engineering disciplines.
