The problem

Every directory tells you what a firm says about itself.

A name comes back from a colleague. You find a website, a phone number and a claim to be licensed — and no way to check any of it without opening two state portals and already knowing which two.

Groundbreak starts from the record instead. 5,203 Florida firms, each carrying what the state currently publishes about it: the professional licence, the corporate registration, and the date each was issued. The badge is granted by those two records agreeing, never by a firm filling in a form.

Verified means two registries agreeNot a badge a firm applies for. Groundbreak grants it only when an active professional licence and an active business registration are both on file — from two independent state sources.

Unverified names the missing factMost unverified firms are perfectly real businesses whose registration simply has not been matched yet. So the profile says which record is missing, rather than leaving a bare label to be read as a verdict.
